The EM Acoustics EMS-101X Outdoor is a compact, high-performance two-way passive reflex-loaded loudspeaker designed for applications demanding higher output, extended low-frequency performance and precise pattern control from a discreet enclosure, with the added confidence of outdoor-ready construction. Finished in durable black, it is ideally suited to theatres, live venues, corporate AV, houses of worship, hospitality spaces and high-end installed sound systems, including semi-exposed and outdoor environments.
As part of the Outdoor Range, cabinets are finished as standard in a highly durable two-part polyurethane paint, with stainless-steel grilles and fixings and treated cone surfaces for enhanced weather resistance and long-term reliability. To ensure a clean, discreet installation, the enclosure can be adapted to your exact requirements, including the removal of handles, pole mounts or unnecessary rigging points once the specification is confirmed. Connection options are equally flexible, with a choice of standard NL4, single NLT4MP connector, or a weather-sealed gland with a fixed 2 m loudspeaker cable, allowing seamless integration into your system design. Compact yet powerful, the EMS-101X Outdoor delivers serious output, control and durability for demanding professional installed and outdoor sound applications.
The EMS-101X features a 10â neodymium low-frequency driver paired with a 1â exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers excellent projection, clarity and consistency across the coverage area, making it equally effective for speech intelligibility and full-range music reinforcement. Performance is rated at approximately 75 Hz â 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 130 dB, supported by 400 W RMS / 800 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
