The EM Acoustics EMS-129 Wide is a high-output, wide-dispersion 2-way passive reflex-loaded full-range loudspeaker designed for professional applications requiring powerful, even coverage from a single, discreet enclosure. Finished in white, it is ideally suited to theatres, houses of worship, corporate AV, live venues and premium installed sound systems where visual integration is as important as performance.
The EMS-129 Wide is built around a 12â neodymium low-frequency driver and a 1.4â exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, loaded onto a wide-dispersion, rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This design delivers strong low-frequency performance, high intelligibility and exceptionally even coverage across wide audience areas. Performance is rated at approximately 70 Hz â 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 134 dB, supported by 500 W RMS / 1000 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, allowing the EMS-129 Wide to operate confidently as a standalone full-range loudspeaker or alongside subwoofers.
Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-129 Wide offers a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives while maintaining excellent durability for fixed installations. Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making it a powerful, refined solution for system designers seeking wide, consistent coverage with premium sound quality in visually sensitive environments.
