Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making the EMS-156 a powerful, robust and reliable solution for system designers seeking maximum output and premium sound quality from a single full-range loudspeaker.
The EMS-156 is built around a 15â neodymium low-frequency driver combined with a 1.4â exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers deep low-frequency authority, excellent projection and consistent coverage, making it equally effective for high-impact music reinforcement and clear, intelligible speech. Performance is rated at approximately 65 Hz â 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 136 dB, supported by 750 W RMS / 1500 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, allowing the EMS-156 to operate confidently as a standalone full-range loudspeaker or as part of a larger system with subwoofers.
