Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-81X offers a more controlled and natural sound than plastic alternatives and integrates easily into both visible and discreet installations. The passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making it an ideal choice for system designers looking for a compact loudspeaker with serious output, control and reliability.
The EMS-81X combines an 8â neodymium low-frequency driver with a 1â exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, loaded onto a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers increased headroom and projection compared to smaller formats, while maintaining excellent vocal intelligibility and musical clarity. Performance is rated at approximately 75 Hz â 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 126 dB, supported by 250 W RMS / 500 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
