EM Acoustics EMS-51X Ultra-compact two-way passive loudspeaker, black
The EM Acoustics EMS-51X is an ultra-compact, two-way passive loudspeaker designed for applications where space is extremely limited but sound quality and control cannot be compromised. Finished in durable black, it is ideal for theatres, corporate AV, museums, retail, hospitality venues and discreet installed sound systems.
Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-51X provides a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives while remaining visually unobtrusive. Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making the EMS-51X a premium ultra-compact solution for system designers seeking high performance from the smallest possible loudspeaker enclosure.
The EMS-51X combines a 5” neodymium low-frequency driver with a 1.1” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers impressive clarity, excellent vocal intelligibility and consistent coverage, making it well suited to speech-focused systems as well as background and foreground music. Performance is rated at approximately 80 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 119 dB, supported by 200 W RMS / 400 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
