The EM Acoustics EMS-51X is an ultra-compact, two-way passive loudspeaker designed for applications where space is extremely limited but sound quality and control remain critical. Finished in white, it is ideal for theatres, corporate AV, museums, retail, hospitality venues and discreet fixed installations where the loudspeaker needs to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.
The EMS-51X combines a 5â neodymium low-frequency driver with a 1.1â exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers impressive clarity and excellent vocal intelligibility, making it well suited to speech-focused systems as well as background and foreground music. Performance is rated at approximately 80 Hz â 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 119 dB, supported by 200 W RMS / 400 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-51X provides a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives while remaining visually unobtrusive. Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making the EMS-51X a premium ultra-compact solution for system designers seeking high performance from the smallest possible loudspeaker enclosure.
